    1. In the year of competition you must meet the following requirements.
Elite 50+ (Married, Unmarried, Never Married, Widowed, or Divorced)
      Mrs. 20+ (Married)
Ms. 20-39 (Married, Unmarried, Never Married, Widowed, or Divorced)
Miss 19-29 (Never Married, No Children)
Teen 13-18 (Never Married, No Children)
    2. If you have a passion for a particular issue, being in a pageant & having a platform is a dream come true to a titleholder. No, you don't have to have a platform; you can just do the pageant because it sounds like a fun, new experience for you. You don't have to have grandiose aspirations of changing the world to enter & win this pageant...it's great to make a difference, and a platform during the pageant certainly provides a valuable resource for that (plus it gives you lots to talk about in your Personal Interview!) And more importantly, educating people about an issue near and dear to you is very gratifying & a wonderful way to spend your year as a local (or state/national) titleholder, and is to be commended.
    3. The American Beauty National Pageant is Thursday, August 21, 2008 through Sunday, August 24, 2008. Location to be announced.
    4. San Antonio is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation, and is home to a Mecca of shopping, dining, entertainment and family activities. You are certain to enjoy your stay in San Antonio’s metropolis! San Antonio is the home to the Word Champion’s Spurs Basketball team.
    5. Producing and running a pageant of this caliber requires substantial income. Hotel expenses (including ballroom rental, rooms, food, etc) are not complimentary, contrary to what some might believe. Additionally, marketing and advertising the pageant, producing a high quality program book, judges and staff expenses,  accommodations  for returning Queens  to the national pageant, and much more all come into play when budgeting for this kind of an event. We did our research and our entry fee is very comparable to other pageants of this caliber. Our pageant is the *best* pageant value.
    6. As described in the “Information Sheet”, you will get a Contestant Handbook which lists contact information of pageant sponsors and resources to help you prepare. We will have a trunk show from our wardrobe sponsor to help you with your gown and other wardrobe choices for the pageant. These are not mandatory, nor are there fees to attend, and are designed to help you be at your very best pageant weekend!
    7. Checks must be made payable to American Beauty, or credit cards are accepted via Paypal. Please note: all checks from sponsors must be made out to you. The pageant office will only accept checks from you in your or your spouse's name. Businesses can pay via Paypal, also.
    8. Debbie Harris is the licensee for the trademarked American Beauty National Pageant;  American Beauty is also made up of a number of contracted staff members & weekend volunteers. The national pageant is officed at 3125 Fallbrook View Bulverde, Texas 78163 Office phone is (830) 438-6607. Website URL is www.missamericanbeauty.com. Debbie’s email is debbie@missamericanbeauty.com.
    9. Our prize list is updated as sponsors are added for 2007. The biggest prize is the opportunity to represent all women of America.  Your return to the national pageant will be paid, and will include your shared accommodations & meals pageant week, as well as your flight to host State. Another prize that other state pageants of this caliber are not giving is CA$H... we give $1000 to our winner! Must have five contestants in your division, in order to qualify.
    10. You can do as much or as little as you would like. This means that appearances are up to you; our marketing efforts rely somewhat on your participation and willingness to make appearances as the State or Regional titleholder for the American Beauty National Pageant. But we also know you have a family & other obligations, so we don't expect you to be doing something every weekend. If you could commit to two appearance a month should you win, we would be very happy with that.  If you win the national pageant, your contract will change & you will be under the direction of the national pageant.
    11. American Beauty grants state directors the opportunity to hold preliminaries. This will be the first year American Beauty National Pageant has been produced. Debbie Harris & her business partner’s were successful as past local and state directors for Galaxy International.
    12. Women who are 13 in the year of the national pageant date may enter. Children & length of marriage are not a considering factor in the Ms. division. No pageant experience is necessary. 80% of the women who enter a. pageant have not previously done so! Women must be natural born female & reside in America. Military wives stationed in another area but from America (by birth or previous residency) are the exception. Email us if you have questions regarding your eligibility. You will be required to sign an agreement outlining expectations for your year should you win the pageant.
    13. The total fees to enter American Beauty National Pageant are $1000.00, which is very comparable to other pageants of this caliber. This includes reduced rate at host hotel for your accommodations, host hotel The Fairmount Hotel; all your meals during the weekend; contestant gifts upon arrival; welcome reception to include your family.  You can either pay the fees yourself, or enlist the help of sponsors, who can be family members, organizations or businesses.
    14. Most contestants you will see at the American Beauty National Pageant, are "at-large", which means the contestant did not have to win another pageant to enter this one. All contestants will have a title; your title will be first come, first serve based on when entry form & payment is received. Once you pay the $100 title deposit, you can order your crown from American Beauty, and a satin sash from www.rainbowsend.com, with your first title choice; if that is not available, you will get your second title choice. * Please note that  State directors are being sought for all areas, if you would like to produce a preliminary pageant to American Beauty National Pageant, please let the national office know right away. We are currently looking for directors in all state areas that are not highlighted on the director’s map. Other areas will be considered as well.
At this time, we have state pageant directors in the areas that are highlighted on the director’s map. If you are from these areas and want to enter the state pageant first, please let us know ASAP! Entering a state pageant, if there is one available is beneficial because it gives you experience before the national pageant. It is about 1/3 of the entry fee of state, and the winner gets a prize package and fees paid to the national competition.
    15. Please contact us to determine the best titles based on your geographic location and what is available.
